About Rebekah… As a midwestern girl from Muncie, Indiana, I’m the middle child of a family of six who spent most of her life playing under the street lights, singing in church, dancing in show choir at school and babysitting. When I was 20 years old, I moved to New England where I met Dan, my husband of over 30 years. During those years, I have lived in Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, and Missouri before coming full-circle. For much of my adult life, I have served alongside my husband in pastoral leadership roles he has had for local churches. Life has been full, chaotic and busy. The four boys we raised, who were all born within six years, are now adults, and we especially enjoy our five year-old granddaughter. We have lived in Danvers, MA for the past 17 years and enjoy all the things New England has to offer. Nevertheless, I am a true Midwesterner at heart, with a love for warm conversations, connections and hospitality. My heart… Since I was a child, I have been interested in all things pregnancy, childbirth and babies. When I became a mother 30 years ago, I started to think about becoming a doula. It took me over twenty years to get to a place of making that dream a reality in the birth and postpartum realm. As a young mom with no family nearby, I felt alone without needed support. I vowed to always be available to help young moms in their struggles transitioning to motherhood.
