Founder | Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist
Abram is the founder of NEIH. He started his training at Five Branches University in California and later received his Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest college of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in the United States. āØāØ During his time at New England School of Acupuncture he studied with several renowned acupuncturists, including Ted Kaptchuck, author of the classic text The Web that Has No Weaver: Understanding Chinese Medicine. Originally from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where he grew up in an intentional community, Abram completed his undergraduate studies at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. While at Guilford, Abram studied abroad in Beijing and encountered Traditional Chinese Medicine. He later returned to Beijing after school and continued to his studies of Chinese language and culture. āØāØ He completed advanced training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine at Zhejiang University of TCM in Hangzhou, China. His training focused on neuromuscular diseases and women’s health.
Abram is an acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Herbalist, and uses both needling and Chinese Herbal Medicine to treat a variety of conditions, including:
Pain & Fatigue, including migraines, low back pain, neck pain/mobility, and chronic fatigue
Women’s Health, including menopause, PMS, and infertility
Mental/Emotional Challenges, including anxiety and depression
Digestive disorders, including IBS
Hypertension
Abram also has experience working with children using Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (using GMP compliant and/or organic sources when possible ) to treat asthma, common cold, ADD/ADHD, digestive disorders and pain.
