Amy’s story didn’t begin in a hospital or birth center. It began in Chicago’s fine dining world, where she spent nearly a decade learning toĀ attune to people under pressureĀ ā reading the room, anticipating needs, and leading with grace.
In a small Northern California community, she cared for elderly women at the end of their lives. Those quiet days taught her thatĀ presence is its own act of loveĀ ā a lesson that echoes in every birth room and every overnight shift she works today.
She became a mother herself, returned home to Fort Myers, and founded The Sweet Surrender in 2019. She is DONA-trained, deeply experienced, and brings something that can’t be certified: she has truly been in the thick of it.
