Care work has been at the center of my life from the start. I was the oldest daughter of five, lovingly tending to younger children in our house and my neighborhood. As an adult, organizing for universal healthcare & abortion rights became another way of putting care into action. Ultimately, I was called to birthwork, with hopes that I could prevent and interrupt harm as people labor and parent, while helping to foster a sense of trust in their own intuition, abilities & strengths. I know the transformational power of deep compassion & witnessing. Birthwork applies the innate knowing that the well-being of parents and young children is inextricably tied to our communitiesā collective health & happiness.
I live on unceded, occupied land of the Abenaki people in the small Midcoast city of Bath, along the Kennebec River. I serve families seeking birth, postpartum and newborn care within a 2 hour radius of Bath. I am able to provide remote, tailored childbirth education & abortion doula support to anyone within the United States.
