Chi (“Chee”) Sun is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. She is a native of Taiwan but has been living in the US for over 23 years and has been a Brookline resident for over 15 years. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin. Chi trained as a lawyer in Taiwan and came to the USA to obtain a Master’s in Law and is a licensed attorney in New York. She had great satisfaction from helping people, but wanted to be able to do more and decided to purse a degree in Chinese Medicine, following in the footsteps of her great grandfather who was also an acupuncturist and herbalist.
Chi was drawn to Chinese Medicine first hand by experiencing its many benefits as a patient. She suffered from migraines and when she wanted to start a family she sought out alternative treatments to avoid the need for strong pain medications. Using acupuncture she was able to discontinue all her headache medications and experience a healthy pregnancy, headache-free and without the need for pain medications. Chi utilized acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulas throughout her pregnancy and has a wonderful and healthy daughter, Emily.
She specializes in women’s health and reproductive medicine, digestive disorders, anxiety/depression, dermatology and pain management. Chi is proud to be one of only a few practitioners in Massachusetts that is a board certified Fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM). Chi is also co-founder of Emily’s Skin Soothers which is a topical herbal product based on Chinese herbal medicine for eczema, rash and dry skin.
