Dr. MaryHelen Gustafson received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston in 2009. She specializes in orthopedics and women’s health with a focus on pregnancy and postpartum. After her first pregnancy and delivery in 2012, she recognized the care gap after the standard 6-week postpartum checkup and pursued advanced training through Herman and Wallace, the Institute for Birth Healing, and other programs to provide holistic care. She offers in-home, virtual, and in-clinic care across pregnancy, postpartum, bowel/bladder, female athlete, and menopause needs. A lifelong runner and athlete (marathons, triathlon, open-water swimming), she is married with three children and lives an active outdoor lifestyle in Rhode Island.
