Welcome to The Well Fed Baby! My name is Meghan and I’ve been a Registered Nurse working with parents and babies for almost my entire nursing career. I’ve spent the past 10+ years working as an RN in the NICU at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and more recently became one of the NICU’s lactation consultants.
I currently live north of Boston with my husband, our 3 young children, and our dog, Gretchen. Having my own children is what really helped me find my passion as a lactation consultant. I’ve had 3 very different breastfeeding experiences with my kids and appreciate the successes and challenges that come with breastfeeding, pumping, and bottle feeding.
I graduated with a BSN in nursing from Saint Anselm College in 2008 and have been working as a nurse ever since. Early on in my nursing career, I became a CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) to become more well equipped to support lactating parents in the NICU. In 2020, I started working per diem doing outpatient lactation visits and loved being able to help people in the comfort of their own home. In 2021, I decided to pursue my IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) certification. As an RN and IBCLC, I have extensive experience, knowledge, and education to help support you wherever you are on your breastfeeding journey.
