I am a certified postpartum doula with seven years of experience helping families in the Greater Portland area. I have a Masters in Public Health with a background in global health and community development.
I am also a mom of three young girls. I thrive on efficiency, organization, and early bedtimes. My husband and I get through the day with lots of humor, compassion, and a freezer full of ice cream.
My journey to motherhood included deciding to end two very wanted pregnancies and surviving postpartum depression. You can read more about my experience in my op-ed for the Bangor Daily News. My experiences gave me deep empathy for the emotional and practical complexities of motherhood and have inspired me to help new parents navigate early parentingās joys and challenges.
I hold certificates from The Institute for the Study of Birth, Breath And Death for āHolding Space for Pregnancy Lossā and āHolding Space for Abortion,ā and I was a founding board member of the Maine chapter of Postpartum Support International. I am also infant First Aid and CPR certified.
